Benefits of exercise on mental health:

Exercise plays an important role in maintaining good mental health. It helps people get rid of stress and anxiety by diverting their anxious minds and thoughts into positive energy.

When a person starts a walk or does any indoor exercise, their focus is on movements and walking; in this way, they get rid of anxiety and stress. On the other hand, exercise transforms stressful energy into positive vibes.

Physical exercise helps in maintaining a good posture:

Another benefit of doing exercise is that it helps in maintaining a good posture. When we lie down or sit on a chair or on the ground, our posture becomes stiff and our muscles become weak.

This further leads to lethargy and poor posture. So, being physically active helps to maintain a strong and aligned posture. Furthermore, maintaining a good posture enhances and boosts confidence level and shapes personality.

Prevent osteoporosis (weakening of bone) OR make bones strong:

Exercise also plays an important role in maintaining strong bones. When a person walks or plays, there are micro /tiny breakages in the bones, when these bone heals again, they become stronger. Therefore, it is strongly advised that people with osteoporosis walk and exercise daily.

Good for heart health: Exercise makes you physically and mentally fit:

Exercise plays an important role in maintaining and managing cardiac-related health issues. People who exercise daily live a healthy life, even after having a heart attack.

The direct connection of exercise and heart health is as follows:

Maintain blood pressure:

Physical exercise helps in maintaining blood pressure by lowering body fat, strengthening blood vessels, and reducing inflammation. As Exercise makes the heart strong, and a strong heart pumps out blood with less pressure, in this way, blood pressure remains under control with physical exercise.

Lower bad cholesterol and improve good cholesterol:

Another benefit of exercise is that it lowers bad cholesterol and improves good cholesterol. As good cholesterol is heart-protecting, increasing levels of good cholesterol reduces the risk of a heart attack.

Reduce weight by calorie consumption: Exercise makes you physically and mentally fit:

Physical exercise helps in weight reduction. When a person exercises, the body cells need more energy to fulfill the demand, the body starts to use the pre-deposited fats in the body, and the extra fats start to burn to produce energy to perform exercise.

In this way, exercise helps in weight reduction. This further helps in combating diseases associated with obesity, such as high sugar levels and high cholesterol levels.

Helps in maintaining normal sugar level:

People suffering from diabetes should do physical exercise to maintain their sugar levels. Maintaining a normal sugar level in the blood reduces the risk of heart attacks.

Improves oxygenation: Exercise makes you physically and mentally fit:

Exercise improves breathing, and walking and exercising in open fields improves oxygen delivery to body cells, and helps in lung breathing capacity. Therefore, physical exercise plays an important role in heart health.

          Prevents and treats stress:

It is observed that physically active people are socially active too. The following are some reasons why people become socially active.

Effects of physical exercise on Socially active:

When somebody goes out for hiking or jogging in a park or a trail, they meet with different people of the same interest, share ideas and feelings, which directly enhances interaction with people, and people become socially active. Furthermore, such a habit reduces stress and anxiety.

Improves digestion. (Exercise makes you physically and mentally fit)

The digestive system of a physically active person is active and well-balanced. Physical activity improves appetite, digestion, and calorie consumption, and relieves constipation by enhancing bowel movements. Secondly, after doing a physical exercise, a person becomes thirsty and wants to have fluid, which increases the level of hydration and flushes the toxins from the body.

Improves circulation: Exercise makes you physically and mentally fit:

With the movement of the body, body cells need more oxygen for the production of calories, the heart pumps more blood into circulation; this improves the heart’s pumping capacity and makes the heart muscles stronger. So, physical activity has a very crucial role in maintaining cardiac/ health.

Why is sweating important for skin?

Sweat is very important for skin; it hydrates the skin, opens and clears the skin pores. Furthermore, sweat acts as a natural moisturizer. When a person does physical activity, their skin becomes clearer, cleaner, and healthier by providing more and more oxygen to the skin through pores.

However, due to increased blood flow to the skin, it also receives nutrients and oxygen for nourishment. Therefore, physically active persons have shining and glowing skin. So, indirectly, physical exercise helps in detoxifying the skin through sweating.

Enhances stamina/ combats lethargy: A Person who is physically active in exercises has strong muscles and bones; this enhances their stamina physically as well as mentally, which is why people who are active in sports have a very high willpower and active mindset.

Effect of exercise on sexual health?

Sexual health plays an important role in a person’s life. As sexual health needs good physical health, good mood, stamina, and good blood circulation, it also improves testosterone levels. Physical activity enhances all the components required for sexual health and need; it enhances/ elevates mood, combats lethargy, and increases blood flow to the specific sexual organs.

Which exercises are good for sexual health?

Some studies show that aerobics and squats are beneficial exercises for sexual health; these exercises improve blood flow to the pelvic region and enhance sexual health by reducing the risk of erectile dysfunction or sexual dysfunction.

Another reason is that people who do regular exercise are mentally relaxed and stress-free, and mental relaxation is a key component of sexual health. If a person is mentally upset and stressed, they may not be able to perform his /her sexual activity. So, there is a strong relationship between sexual health and mental relaxation.
